Egyptian authorities thwarted Thursday 120 Egyptians who were trying to immigrate from Kafr al-Sheikh to Italy.
Security sources said that it is the fourth such attempt this month, adding that the increased activity is the result of loose internal security.
Security forces arrested illegal young immigrants on the shores of the town Tower Moghaizel in Rashid. The detainees said during interrogations that their families were to pay immigration smugglers LE40,000 each once they reached Italian shores.
