The Chairman and CEO of EgyptAir Holding Yehia Zakaria announced that his company has decided to operate seven flights to Guangzhou, three flights to Beijing, and three flights to Hangzhou starting in March.
The company is shifting to resume operating its regular flight schedule to China as it was before the coronavirus pandemic struck.
Zakaria broke the news during a press conference at Cairo International Airport on Friday, during the reception of the first Chinese tourist group after a 3-year hiatus.
The company thanked the Chinese ambassador in Cairo for his efforts to resume air traffic again, Zakaria added.
In order to support the large movement of tourism, trade and passengers between Egypt and China, there needs to be cooperation from both sides and the extra flights will help this happen.
EgyptAir also succeeded in renewing the accreditation of the IOSA certificate without any notes or points of mismatch, after the inspection carried out by a delegation from Argos Pros, accredited by the International Air Transport Association (IATA).
