Egypt’s Ministry of Education approved the start date for the 2023 academic year to be on September 30 until June 8, 2024, totaling 35 weeks for various educational stages in public, language and private schools.
International schools wishing to start classes early will be allowed to do so starting from the last week of August, after submitting a request to the Ministry of Education to obtain the necessary approval.
The first semester of the new academic year is scheduled to start on September 30 and continues until Thursday, January 25, 2024, with exams for the first semester beginning on Sunday, January 14, 2024.
The mid-year vacation begins on January 27, 2024 and lasts for two weeks, ending on Thursday, February 8, 2024.
The Supreme Council of Universities has set the start date for the 2024 academic year in universities and institutes, as the first semester for 2023-2024 will also start on September 30.
The first semester of the 2023-2024 academic year for universities will last 14 weeks, ending on January 4, 2024.
