The Egyptian Armed Forces have successfully dealt significant blows to criminal elements and smugglers, thwarting plots aimed at undermining Egypt’s national security.
Border Guard Forces have launched new operations against criminal groups and smugglers, foiling plans and attempts to harm Egypt’s national security. These forces have seized large quantities of narcotics, including hashish, marijuana, hydro, cocaine, and narcotic pills, and eradicated numerous acres of hydroponic farms across the country.
The Egyptian military spokesperson explained that these seizures were made possible through intensified security and inspection efforts at crossings, tunnels, roads, and various axes, as well as through the implementation of extensive patrols and search campaigns to eliminate narcotics cultivation in North, Central, and South Sinai.
Egyptian forces have also seized a number of weapons and ammunition of various calibers and thwarted numerous attempts to mine gold after carrying out joint raids and patrols.
Furthermore, the Border Guard Forces have successfully thwarted attempts at illegal infiltration and migration by individuals of various nationalities through the state’s strategic directions. They have also seized quantities of goods without customs duties after intensifying intelligence gathering and conducting raids and patrols on roads and paths leading to the international border.
