Egyptian cinema is deteriorating: actress

The state of Egyptian cinema has been deteriorating for years, said actress Abir Sabry.

Sabry said she is against cheap entertainment and that she tries to avoid eid movies as much as possible for that reason.

Sabry will start shooting her new series "Gerab Hawaa" next week. She said the series will include 60 episodes on the relationship between men and women. Gerab Hawaa is directed by Sarah Wafik and produced by Mamdouh Shahin and will be screened in 2016.

Sabry is also supposed to resume filming the "Neswan Adra" series, where she plays a woman from Upper Egypt who travels to Cairo and achieves success thanks to her strength.
