Egypt’s diplomatic missions announced they were ready for the voting process of the Egyptian presidential election, where voting abroad will take place on March 16, 17, and 18.
The Ambassador of Egypt to United Arab Emirates, Wael Gad, affirmed that the Embassy of Egypt had completed all preparations required for the voting process, which will start at 9 am and continue until 9 pm in Embassy of Egypt to Abu Dhabi and the Consulate General in Dubai.
Gad said that “the previous elections revealed the extent to which Egyptian expats participated in the presidential election.”
He continued, “the matter which motivates the mission on doing its best to receive the expected large numbers of voters.”
Gad added that the embassy has launched campaigns on social media about the presidential election and the decisions of the National Election Commission (NEC).
Gad asserted that the voters could not cast their votes through mail. Voters must be present at the embassy or the consulate general, and submit the original copy of their national ID or their passport to cast their vote.
Meanwhile, Ambassador of Egypt to Kuwait Tarek al-Kony said the Egyptian Foreign Ministry increased the number of supervisors in the voting process, as well as tablet devices, to ensure speediness of the voting process.
