Eye witnesses told Egypt Independent that Egyptian Apache helicopters have targeted armed militants North Sheikh Zweid city. The helicopters bombed militants' sites who responded with firing heavy bombs toward the helicopters.
A military source said that the helicopters have destroyed some sites in Sheikh Zweid and that the raids are still on-going. The source did not give out information on whether there are human casualties from either side.
The sources added that the military is expected to announce details once the raid is over.
