A young Egyptian man committed suicide Wednesday morning in Mostaganem, Algeria, jumping from the top of a broadcasting radar tower.
The Algerian Al-Shorouk newspaper reported that the man's name was Mahmoud Attia Akram, 35. He committed suicide disregarding the pleas of his friends, who tried to discourage him from jumping.
The reason that drove Akram to commit suicide is unknown.
