The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) warned of a heat wave expected to last from Friday to Wednesday across the country.
According to the EMA forecast, moderate weather will prevail in the early morning, with very hot and humid weather during the day in Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, north coast, South Sinai, and the south of the country. Moderate humid weather is predicted at night across the country.
Mists are predicted in the early morning on Friday and Saturday until six am on agricultural and highway roads close to water channels leading to and from Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, the northern coasts, the Suez Canal cities, and central Sinai.
Active winds are predicted in areas of Greater Cairo, the northern coasts, South Sinai and the south of the country, at intermittent intervals.
From Sunday until Wednesday active wind is predicted on areas of the northwest coast, at intermittent intervals.
Meteorologists warned against direct exposure to sunlight, adding that the high levels of humidity will increase the feeling of heat by 2C and 3C even in the shade.
