The Egyptian Football Association announced, on Wednesday, the date of the Egyptian Super Cup match, between the league and cup champions, in the UAE capital, Abu Dhabi.
The Egyptian Football Association has approved the date of the Egyptian Super Cup match on October 21, 2022.
The Egyptian Super Cup 2022 is scheduled to be held between Zamalek, the Egyptian league champion, and the Egypt Cup champion, which has not yet been decided.
The Egypt Cup champion will be the winner of the Al-Ahly and Petrojet match, the two sides of the Egypt Cup semi-finals.
The winner of the Al-Ahly and Petrojet match, which will be held on July 2, will face Zamalek in the Egypt Cup final.
Zamalek has qualified after beating Aswan 2-1 in the semi-finals.
This is the fifth time that Abu Dhabi has hosted the Egyptian Super Cup, as the match was previously held in the UAE in 2015, 2017, 2018, and 2020.
Al-Ahly club holds the record number of 11 titles for winning the Super Cup, followed by Zamalek which holds four titles, then the Arab Contractors, Tala’a al-Gaish, and Haras al-Hodoud clubs each holding a single title.
