
Egyptian wrestler Mohamed Gabr, ranked 30th globally, lost on Tuesday evening in the semi-finals of the Greco-Roman wrestling competitions at the Paris 2024 Olympics Games.
Gabr faced his Iranian counterpart Mohammad Hadi Saravi, the bronze medalist of Tokyo 2020, in the semi-finals of the 97 kg weight category at the ongoing Paris Olympics.
The Iranian player won the match with a score of 6-0, so Gabr will await the match to determine the bronze medalist.
The 33rd edition of the Olympic Games kicked off on July 26, and will end on August 11.
