The National Film festival starts its annual round on Thursday 22 April.
This year’s festival showcases 109 Egyptian films between 22-30 April. In its 16th round, the festival honors prominent actor Mahmoud Hemeda, director Mohamed el-Qaliouby, screen-writer Bashir el-Deek, director of photography Maher Radi, as well as cinema critic Magda Mouris.
Films, including 66 long/short feature films, 15 documentaries, and 28 animations, will be screened at el-Gomhorriya theater, downtown Cairo.
