Koshary is one of the most popular meals in Egypt, and has begun to receive attention worldwide thanks to tourists trying it out.
The “TasteAtlas” website, which ranks the 100 most iconic restaurants around the world, included the Abou Tarek Restaurant for Koshary at #64.
The site, which is concerned with classifying foods around the world, revealed that the restaurants on its list is based on the votes of platform users.
Among the most famous restaurants in the list are L’ANTICA PIZZERIA DA MICHELE in Naples, Italy, and FIGLMULLER in the Austrian capital, Vienna.
This classification came after another list issued by the same platform, weeks ago, in which it ranked the 100 countries that provide the most good food.
Italy ranked first, followed by Japan and Greece in second and third places.
The US ranked 16th, England ranked 39th, and Egypt ranked 51st in the rankings, after Australia, which ranked 50th, while Ghana came in 100th place.
