Cigarette prices rose once again across markets and shops, after the Board of Directors of the Eastern Company for Tobacco approved a new increase on Friday in implementation of the comprehensive health insurance law, according to the company’s disclosure to the stock exchange.
Prices rose by about 22 piasters for 11 brands.
This is the third increase that the company has enforced this year.
Official new prices:
- Cleopatra Box 10 increased to LE 25, from LE 24.5.
- Cleopatra King Size increased to LE 34.72, from to LE 34.5.
- Cleopatra Soft increased to LE 34.72, from to LE 34.5.
- Boston, and Belmont increased to LE 34.72, from LE 34.5.
- Cleopatra Box (white, colored) increased to LE 34.72, from LE 34.5.
- Super Star increased to LE 34.72, from LE 34.5.
- Mondial (red, blue, silver) increased to LE 34.72, from LE 34.5.
- Mondial Switch (Blueberry, Menthol) increased to LE 34.72, from LE 34.5.
- Cleopatra Black increased to LE about 34.72, from LE 34.5.
- Matossian Super cigarettes increased to LE 34.72 from LE 34.5.
- Viceroy and Palmall cigarettes remains at LE 55, same as in April.
