The Ministry of Civil Aviation has announced that, following a notification received from the relevant Iranian authorities regarding warnings issued to all civil aviation companies flying over Iranian airspace, military exercises will be conducted on August 7-8.
These exercises will take place between 11:30 am and 2:30 pm on August 7 and between 4:30 am and 7:30 am on August 8, Tehran time.
A ministry statement explained that, in an effort to ensure the safety of Egyptian aircraft passengers and in compliance with international standards, the Egyptian Civil Aviation Authority has issued a notification to all Egyptian airlines to avoid flying over Iranian airspace in these periods.
