The Egyptian Olympic team has achieved its first victory at the football competitions in the Olympic Games held in Paris.
The Egyptian team defeated Uzbekistan by one goal to none on Saturday, in the second round of Group Three.
The team owes this victory to its striker Ahmed Nabil “Koka” who scored the only goal of the match in the tenth minute.
Egypt raised its score to four points in second place in Group Three behind Spain, which is in first place with six points and has already qualified for the quarter-finals.
The Uzbekistan meanwhile team remained in fourth and last place with no points behind the Dominican Republic, which is in third place with one point.
The Egyptian team will play in the third and final round against Spain, while Uzbekistan will play against the Dominican Republic.
