The Egyptian government has responded to rumors spread about its employees working from home online starting August.
The Egyptian Cabinet stressed that there is no truth to the rumors claiming that Sunday of every week will be a work from home day for employees.
The circulating video stating these claims is from 2023, the cabinet said, and relates to the Prime Minister’s decision from last year regarding government employees – it has not been extended to apply for this year.
It stressed that all the information contained in the video is no longer relevant.
The Cabinet called on citizens not to be swayed by false news and to only obtain information from its official sources
