The Egyptian Meteorological Authority on Monday has revealed a map of expected rainfall locations across the country from Tuesday, December 8 until Sunday, December 13.
Tuesday
The North Coast will see light to moderate rains (30 percent) in several cities including Alexandria, Matrouh, and Rashid, Baltim, Port Said, Al-Arish, Damietta, and Rafah.
A 30 percent chance of light rains are expected for several Upper Egyptian governorates including Kafr al-Sheikh, Beheira, Dakahlia, Fayoum, Bany Suef, and Minya.
Mists will impact visibility in several areas including the North Coast, Lower Egypt, Cairo, and northern Upper Egypt.
Wednesday
The North Coast will witness light rains (30 percent) in several cities including Port Said, Al Arish, Damietta, and Rafah.

Thursday
A 30 percent chance of light to moderate rains is expected in several governorates including Alexandria, Matrouh, and Salloum.
Mist will impact visibility in several areas including the North Coast, Lower Egypt, Cairo, and northern Upper Egypt.
Winds blowing up sand will be active on Salloum, Sedi Barani, and Siwa.
Friday
A 30 percent chance of light to moderate rains is expected in several governorates including Alexandria, Matrouh, and Salloum.
Mists will impact visibility in several areas including the North Coast, Lower Egypt, Cairo, and northern Upper Egypt.
Saturday
A 30 percent chance of light to moderate rains is expected in the North Coast and Delta governorates.
Mist will affect visibility in several areas including the north Coast, Lower Egypt, Cairo, and north of Upper Egypt.
Active winds will be blow up sand at Salloum, Sedi Barani, and Siwa.
Sunday
A 30 percent chance of light to moderate rains is expected at the North Coast and Delta governorates.
Mist will affect visibility in several areas including the North Coast, Lower Egypt, Cairo, and north of Upper Egypt.

Regarding the active winds in the coming week, the Undersecretary for the EMA’S Remote Sensing Authority Iman Shaker explained that people going outside are encouraged to wear masks to protect from the dust which will not cause any issues to people with allergies or respiratory issues.
