Egypt’s Olympic schedule on Friday: A packed day of competitions

The Egyptian delegation continues its participation in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games on Friday, in the French capital. So far, Egypt has secured one bronze medal, won by Mohamed El Sayed in fencing.

Friday’s schedule for Egyptian athletes

  • Taekwondo:
    • Aya Shahata will face a Spanish opponent in the 67 kg round of 16 at 11:00 AM.
    • Seif Eissa will face the Danish champion in the 80 kg round of 16 at 1:15 PM.
  • Diving:
    • Ramiz Sobhi will compete in the 10-meter platform at 11:00 AM.
  • Wrestling:
    • Diaa El-Din Gouda will face an Azerbaijani opponent in the 125 kg freestyle round of 16 at 1:10 PM.
    • Amro Reda will face the Chinese champion in the 74 kg freestyle round of 16 at 1:00 PM.
  • Rhythmic Gymnastics:
    • The Egyptian women’s rhythmic gymnastics team will compete in the first and second qualifying rounds at 11:00 AM and 12:15 PM, respectively.
  • Modern Pentathlon:
    • Ahmed El-Gendy will compete in the semifinals of riding, fencing, swimming, and laser run.
    • Mohamed Shaaban will also compete in the semifinals of riding, fencing, swimming, and laser run.
  • Weightlifting:
    • Karim Kahla will compete in the 89 kg final at 4:00 PM.
    • Nemaa Saeed will compete in the 71 kg final at 8:30 PM.
  • Synchronized Swimming:
    • Nadine Sam and Hana Hekal will compete in the duet event at 8:30 PM.
