The spokesperson for the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Hamdy Abdel-Aziz announced Friday that the Petroleum Products Pricing Committee is convening in July to set the prices for the next three months.
At its last meeting, the Petroleum Products Pricing Committee increased prices by one Egyptian pound for fuel products, while it raised the price of a butane gas cylinder by LE 25.
Current fuel prices in Egypt:
- 80-octane gasoline: LE11 per liter
- 92-octane gasoline: LE12.50 per liter
- 95-octane gasoline: LE13.50 per liter
- Diesel: LE10 per liter
- Butane gas cylinder: LE100 per cylinder
Is there an increase in fuel prices?
Cabinet spokesperson Mohamed al-Homosany said earlier that fuel subsidies will be gradually lifted until the end of 2025.
In previous statements, Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly said that the cost of a liter of diesel is LE 20, sold for only LE 10.
