The Egyptian presidential elections will be held outside Egypt on December 1-3 and inside Egypt on December 10-12, the head of the National Elections Authority Walid Hamza announced during the National Elections Authority’s press conference on Monday.
The National Elections Authority announced the schedule for holding presidential elections inside and outside Egypt.
In the event of a runoff, the elections will be held from January 5-7 outside Egypt and from January 8-10 inside Egypt, Hamza explained.
The NEA has prepared a schedule that includes every step, from the candidacy process, the announcement of the final list, propaganda and appeals, silence period, the runoff at home and abroad, and then the announcement of the final results, he added.
Hamza stressed that one of the most important features about this timetable is that it falls within the period of judicial supervision that the constitution stipulates.
The NEA issued Resolution #3 of 2023 on Monday morning, inviting voters registered in the voter database to cast their votes to for the Presidential election at subcommittees.
