Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi met with the President of the World Jewish Congress Ronald Lauder on Tuesday, during which he said that Egyptian-US relations are important for dealing with the Middle East’s crises which impact the security and stability of the region and the world.
Spokesperson for the Presidency Bassam Rady said that Sisi stated that the settling the Palestinian-Israeli conflict would impose a new reality on the countries and people of the region, enhance development and stability and undermine extremist ideology.
Sisi pointed out that the Egyptian efforts to deal with the various crises in the region aim at reaching political settlement to these issues, supporting state institutions to confront terrorist elements and organizations which work on destroying to destroy states and spread chaos.
Lauder on his end hailed the strong relations between Egypt and the US, and Egypt’s central role as a pillar of security and stability within the Middle East and the Arab world.
He noted that Egypt has exerted great efforts to combat terrorism, and progress in the field of economic reform and comprehensive developments.
