Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy Mahmoud Esmat had talks on Saturday 21/9/2024 with the chairman of the China Southern Power Grid International (CSGI), which is working in the fields of reducing electric loss, projects of electricity generation from pumping and storing water and storing energy.
The talks tackled means to boost cooperation in the different fields within the framework of an urgent plan to improve services and the quality of electric feeding, limiting electric loss and facing stealing the electric circuit and improving performance rates in the distribution grids.
During the meeting, Esmat reviewed different cooperation aspects with the company and its current projects in partnership with the electricity sector.
The meeting also tackled proposals on facing electric loss and stealing of electric circuit within the framework of a plan to manage power waste in all uses, especially domestic and industrial.
The meeting took up the results of the experiments done to face electric stealing in addition to a project on electricity generation by pumping and storing water.
Esmat pointed out to the efforts exerted to achieve stability and maintain the continuity of the unified grid in addition to counting on renewable energy and reducing the use of fuel to maintain the sustainability in providing electricity.
The current work project includes benefiting from the expertise of the company and using modern technology it uses in the field of solar panels production, he said.
