State Minister of Emigration Soha Gendy said that her ministry, in coordination with all the ministries and bodies of the state, presented alternative tracks to increase dollar transfers from Egyptian expats abroad via floating a number of important initiatives.
This came during Gendy’s participation in Akhbar al-Youm 10th economic conference under the rubric “Egyptian economy. Challenges and priorities” held under the auspices of Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli.
These initiatives aim at responding to the requests of Egyptians abroad to ease hindrances facing them in a bid to encourage and attract more dollar transfers and investments, Gendy said in her word.
She said that the ministry succeeded in coordination with the bodies concerned and ten top investors from Egyptians abroad to set up a joint-stock company to engage the country’s expats in high-return national projects in the industrial, agricultural, tourism, construction, building and information technology domains, Gendy said.
The ministry is keen on effective and continuous communication with the Egyptians and Egyptian investors abroad to solve their problems and respond to their requests and proposals, she said.
