EU marks 1st anniv. of declaration to elevate cooperation with Egypt to strategic & comprehensive partnership

CAIRO, March 17 (MENA) – The European Union (EU) celebrated on Monday the first anniversary of the declaration to elevate elevate cooperation with Egypt to the level of strategic and comprehensive partnership.

Posting on its Facebook page, the diplomatic mission of the EU to Egypt said: “Today, we celebrate the first anniversary of the declaration to elevate the cooperation between Egypt and the EU to a strategic and comprehensive partnership, the highest level of bilateral relations that the EU grants to non-EU countries.”

“This partnership covers six key priorities: Political Relations, Economic Stability, Investments and Trade, Migration, Security, and People and Skills,” it added.

On March 17, 2024, President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen signed the joint political declaration document to elevate relations between Egypt and the EU to the level of strategic and comprehensive partnership. (MENA)
