ARISH, Egypt, Feb 15 (MENA) – A European Parliament delegation, led by Iratxe García Pérez, head of the Socialists and Democrats Group, accompanied by Head of EU Delegation to Egypt Angelina Eichhorst, visited the Egyptian Red Crescent logistics center in Arish on Saturday.
The delegation received a briefing on the process of sorting and delivering humanitarian aid to Gaza and observed volunteers preparing shipments for transport through the Rafah crossing.
The European MPs praised Egypt, the Egyptian Red Crescent, and North Sinai authorities for their efforts in facilitating aid delivery to Gaza.
The visit is part of the delegation’s regional tour, which also includes Lebanon, Palestine, and Israel. (MENA)
