Banque Misr has announced the launch of the Yomaty Certificate of Deposit, currently the highest-yielding savings certificate in the Egyptian market for 2025.
This certificate is part of the bank’s efforts to provide flexible savings solutions that meet customer needs amidst economic changes and a volatile interest rate market.
The following sections detail the new Yomaty Certificate, its eligibility requirements, the mechanism for receiving returns, and the penalties for early withdrawal.
Minimum Purchase Amount
Yomaty Certificate is issued for a three-year term to individuals only, whether Egyptian or foreigner, with a minimum investment of LE 1,000 and multiples thereof. It also allows for borrowing against the certificate or redemption after six months from the issuance date, according to the specified redemption rules.
Features
The Yomaty Certificate features a variable annual return of 20.75 percent, paid daily. The return is calculated based on the deposit corridor rate minus 0.25 percent, giving customers the opportunity to achieve a continuous and recurring income that aligns with market interest rate fluctuations.
The Certificate is one of the most prominent banking products offered by Banque Misr to meet the needs of customers seeking high, flexible returns with guaranteed daily liquidity, making it a preferred savings option in the current economic climate.
Purchase Method
Customers can easily purchase the Yomaty Certificate through regular Banque Misr branches, online and mobile banking, and ATMs. It is also available for purchase via email for Egyptians residing abroad.
Certificate Breakage Penalty
If the certificate is redeemed before its maturity date, a penalty will be applied, deducting from the applicable interest rate.
This penalty varies depending on the certificate’s holding period:
- First year: three percent deduction from the interest.
- Second year: two percent deduction from the interest.
- Third year: one percent deduction from the interest.
