Families of those martyred in Suez during the revolution decided on Friday decided to suspend their sit-in in Arbaeen Square after suspicious elements infiltrated their lines, said Ali al-Geneidy, spokesperson for the families of Suez martyrs.
Suez protesters had said they arrested two people, discovered to be policemen from the National Security apparatus, and some then headed to the National Security headquarters and attempted to break into it.
Geneidy said those who infiltrated the sit-in have damaged private and public buildings, adding that the families of the martyrs are not connected to the attack on the National Security headquarters.
Meanwhile, Sahar al-Sayyed, the sister of a Suez martyr, said she will continue the sit-in until the killers of the protesters are brought to trial.
Protesters in Suez demand that the killers of protesters during the 25 January revolution and Hosni Mubarak, the former president, be brought to immediate trial.
