Father of killed Egyptian wrestler referred to trial

Ismailia appeals prosecution referred on Friday the father of the Egyptian wrestler Reem Magdy, known as Magdy Kaboria, to Ismailia Criminal Court, over beating his daughter to death.

The prosecution accused the suspect of beating her to death.

Investigations and forensic medicine reports showed that violent beating had caused bruises and internal bleeding in several parts of Reem Magdy's body, leading to her death.

The report denied that the death could be blamed on a car accident, as the father had first claimed in the police report.

In November, the police was notified by Kaboria that his daughter had been killed in a car accident.

However, investigations showed that no accidents had occurred in the area where he claimed it had.
