Fawry e-payments up to LE25 billion in 2017

The Electronic Payment Network Fawry stated that electronic bill payments made through the service increased from LE9 billion in 2015 to LE25 billion in 2017 with an average of 1.8 million daily electronic payments made.

Until 2017, around 20 million subscribers have used the network to pay their electricity, gas and water bills.

The number of people using the network has increased since 2015 due to the new contracts signed with the Ministry of Electricity, the Holding Company for Drinking Water and gas companies including Petroleum Trading Service Company, National Gas Company and TAQA.

Fawry also provides services of recharging prepaid cards of smart electricity meters through different outlets nationwide, benefiting from the increasing number of electricity subscribers which reached 24 million in 2017.
