The Egyptian Interior Ministry confirmed on Monday that Civil Defense Forces controlled a fire that broke out in the Media Production City in Giza, with no injuries.
A ministry statement explained that the supervisor of the filming areas and a security officer in the city testified that they saw smoke emanating from an electrical wire in the roof of a house in the external filming area where a model of a popular neighborhood decor was built.
The fire spread to the rest of the decor parts adjacent to the filming area, resulting in the burning of the reported decor.
The official in charge of the external filming areas in his testimony confirmed what the two other witnesses said.
