The first flight of a private airline was launched from Aswan International Airport to Abu Simbel Airport amidst flowers and souvenirs.
Aswan Governor Ismail Kamal sent his deputy Amr Lashin and Aswan International Airport Director Ahmed al-Baz to bid farewell to the tourist groups of different nationalities who were transported by the plane.
The governor stressed the importance of organizing flights between Aswan and Abu Simbel, Luxor, Hurghada, Sharm el-Sheikh and Burj Al-Arab in order to facilitate the movement of tourists between the various Egyptian tourist destinations.
He explained that this will contribute to increasing the flow of tourists, and thus increasing the number of tourist nights and greatly benefit from the tourism industry.
Kamal also assured that the governorate is keen to support and assist the efforts of various ministries and agencies to increase the number of domestic and charter flights coming directly from European airports to Aswan, including Madrid Airport in Spain.
