Foreign Minister Mohamed Kamel Amr said having normal relational with all Arab countries was among his priorities when he came to office.
In a statement at the parliamentary Arab Affairs Committee on Tuesday, Amr said Egyptian interests abroad have no relation to the interim period and that the foreign ministry is working on the Egyptian national interests.
Amr added that he drew up a plan to support and develop Arab-Egyptian interests. It was aimed at restoring Egypt’s leading role in foreign policy in the region, Amr said.
