Former Health Minister Badran dies at 81

Former Health Minister Ibrahim Badran passed away on Friday at the age of 81.
 
Tarek Khalil, president of the Nile University for which Badran was a board of trustees member, expressed his deep sorrow and offered condolences to Badran’s family and students.
 
“We will not forget his scientific stature and patriotic positions,” he said, adding that Badran resolved the problems that the university had faced and restored its position in the scientific community.
 
The Academy of Scientific Research and Technology, of which Badran was the chairman, also expressed sorrow for his departure.
 
“Badran was called the doctor of the poor,” said Culture Minister Helmy al-Namnam. “It is a great loss.”
