Security services in Giza Governorate have found the body of a man inside a hotel room in Dokki area on Thursday, identified as former Sudanese ambassador Idris Suleiman Youssef, 69.
Hotel staff were alerted to the death after a foul odor came from the guest’s room. Upon checking, the body was discovered and police were called to the scene.
Investigations revealed that he died three days ago, according to the statement of the health inspector.
The Sudanese embassy was notified of the incident.
The Public Prosecution office moved to the hotel and conducted the necessary examinations.
It was found that there was no criminal suspicion about the incident. Investigating authorities heard the statements of the hotel workers and eyewitnesses.
