The Justice Ministry on Monday ordered the investigation of former Prime Minister Kamal al-Ganzoury and former Minister of Agriculture Youssef Wali.

The latter is currently detained for allegedly selling a public-sector company under the the government’s privatization program for less than its real value, thereby squandering some LE82 million of public funds.

This was the first time that investigations were opened into possible felonies committed under the government’s privatization program.
