Four men sentenced to 4 years, fined LE 300,000 for harassing girls on Oasis Road

The Misdemeanors Court of First and Third October issued a verdict against four defendants accused of harassing several young women on the Oasis Road.

The highly publicized case sparked widespread outrage across social media platforms.

The court sentenced each of the four defendants to four years in prison for charges which included exposing a female in a manner that violates modesty, harassment in public, causing a traffic accident leading to severe injuries, and intentional destruction of property.

Each defendant was also fined LE 300,000 for the first two charges.

Despite their central role in the case, the two victims – university students Rana Ibrahim and Nazal Youssef – and their families were absent from the court session.
