The press conference organizer in Sudan Tiba Press expelled Saturday the French ambassador to Khartoum Bruno Hubert from a press conference dedicated to host urban development expert Michel Cantal Dupart.
The incident comes against the backdrop of Charlie Hebdo's publishing to controversial drawings of the Prophet Mohamed over the past two days.
Conference organizers were surprised by the French ambassador who showed up at the conference though no formal invitation was directed to him to attend, Tiba Press said.
The ambassador expressed his desire to speak on the platform, but organizers rejected his request and told him that the platform was intended for the speaker only.
