Gold prices fell on Monday in Egypt in the morning due to the significant decline in gold prices globally, despite the stability of the US dollar exchange rate in Egypt.
The price of gold in Egypt on Sunday evening was at LE 1131 for the gram of 24-karat gold, LE990 for 21-karat gold, and LE848 for a gram of 18-karat gold.
The decline in gold prices in Egypt on Monday ranged between LE 31 for 24-karat gold and LE 23 for 18-karat gold.
The price of a gram of 24-karat gold decreased on Monday to LE1100. The decline in the price of 24-karat gold on Monday reached LE 31, compared to Sunday’s prices.
The price of 21-karat gold fell on Monday, to reach LE 962, decreasing by LE 28 from Sunday’s prices.
And the price of 18-karat gold fell on Monday to LE 825, by LE 23.
Gold prices fell globally on Monday with the first working day of the global stock exchanges in the new week.
Gold futures prices reached US$ 1,932.65 at 10 am on Monday, Cairo, down by US$ 21.55 from the closing prices of Friday before the weekend, down by 1.1 percent.
Gold futures prices have moved until that time in the ranges of US$ 1931.10 and US$ 1959.40
Gold prices in direct immediate trading at 10 am on Monday, Egypt time, reached US$ 1933.23, down by US$ 24.97 from the closing prices of last week before the weekend, a decrease of 1.28 percent.
