Govt studies regional economic hub in Alexandria

The government is studying the establishment of a regional economic hub in Alexandria on an area of ​​40 million square meters, with investments of US$20 billion to include industrial, commercial and tourist facilities close to the port of Alexandria.
 
Alexandria Governor Hani al-Messiry asked the Transport Ministry and the Alexandria Port Authority to complete the studies in six months and submit them to the government. “It will be a great leap for the city,” he said. “The president had ordered that any project be implemented in six months.”
