Gulf states’ security integral to Egypt’s national security: Sisi

President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi emphasized in his visit to Abu Dhabi on Tuesday Egypt’s commitment to ensure security of Gulf states, and said it is an integral part of Egypt’s national security.

In talks with UAE Vice-President Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Sisi added that relations between Egypt and the UAE represent an ideal model for constructive strategic cooperation between Arab countries, and praised the role of the UAE in promoting solidarity and joint-Arab action.

In the talks, bin Rashid and bin Zayed expressed deep pride in the close relations and brotherly ties between the two countries. Bin Rashid stressed that the UAE’s support for Egypt in its war against terrorism serves as the center of security and stability in the Arab world.

Sisi left Oman for the UAE after he met with Oman’s Sultan Qaboos Bin Said and a group of Omani businessmen in Muscat on Monday. He hailed the determination of the Egyptian people to achieve growth and stability as the driver of Egypt’s progress and development.

Upon meeting Omani businessmen, Sisi presented major national projects being implemented in the country, as well as investment opportunities.
