Unknown gunmen shot on armed forces and police in charge of securing the station that controls the gas pipeline to Israel and Jordan, south of Arish in North Sinai. No casualties were reported, security sources said.
The gunmen were in a vehicle when they were ambushed by security forces and a firefight ensued, the sources added. The gunmen escaped into the desert.
