Gunmen break into bank in south Sinai

Gunmen broke into a Banque Misr branch in the village of Aburdeis in South Sinai governorateon Sunday. Three masked men seized the gun of the security guard in charge of securing the bank and stole LE343,000. They also stole the mobile phones of the bank's employees after threatening them.

Chief of South Sinai Security Directorate Mahmoud al-Khateeb received reports on the accident, and general prosecution was notified to conduct investigations.

Eyewitnesses said the masked men tried to steal the Belayim Petroleum Company’s deposit but failed.
