Meteorologists predict very hot weather on Monday during the daytime over Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, northeastern coasts, South Sinai, and Upper Egypt, with moderately hot weather expected on the northwestern coasts.
The weather will be mild by nightfall over Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, northern coasts, and northern Upper Egypt, while moderate on South Sinai and southern Upper Egypt.
The Undersecretary of the Remote Sensing Center at the Egyptian Meteorological Authority Eman Shaker said on Sunday that starting from Monday there will be a rise in temperature of about five or six degrees above average.
During a phone-in with “Hatha al-Sabah” (This Morning) show on Extra News satellite channel, Shaker advised citizens to avoid direct sunlight between noon and afternoon as the temperature peaks.
She added that in the event that someone has to leave the house at this time, it is preferable to take an umbrella or cap to prevent heat exhaustion or heat stroke, in addition to drinking large amounts of water.
Temperatures will begin to drop on Tuesday, reaching 37C degrees.

Active winds are expected on the northern coasts, Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, and South Sinai
Waves in the Mediterranean Sea will be moderate, ranging between 1.5 and two meters in height with southeastern to northwestern surface winds , while waves in the Red Sea will be low to moderate ranging between 1.1 and 1.75 meters in height with northwestern surface winds.
