Heatwave across Egypt starts Tuesday and ends on Friday

Starting Tuesday Egypt will be exposed to a sharp rise in temperatures up to seven degrees in Cairo to around 39C.

Very hot weather will prevail during the day on Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, the northern coasts, South Sinai and Upper Egypt.

Moderate weather is expected at night on all areas, according to the forecasts of the Egyptian Meteorological Authority.

The weather forecast map issued by the EMA revealed that a drop in temperatures is expected in the north of the country until Greater Cairo and northern Upper Egypt on Friday.

The temperatures in Cairo on Friday are expected to drop to 32C and on Saturday will drop to 30C.

Cairo will see hot weather prevail during the day on Tuesday in Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, the northern coasts, South Sinai and the south of the country, while moderate at night.

The EMA said that on Tuesday there is suspended dust on Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, the northwestern coasts, the northeastern coasts and central Sinai, and sunny weather in South Sinai, the Red Sea mountains, and southern Upper Egypt.

Matrouh: 37C

Cairo: 39C

Sohag: 42C

Qena, Aswan: 41C
