Heavy rains drenched Egypt on Sunday with thunderstorms hitting some areas in Sinai.
Ali Qotb, the official spokesman for the Egyptian Meteorological Authority, said the rainfall is expected to continue over much of the country on Monday with thunderstorms continuing in the Sinai region. Qotb went on to say that temperatures would continue to fall several degrees nationwide.
Qotb advised citizens to drive carefully in view of poor visibility due to fog.
