Cairo’s Heliopolis Hospital stops receiving quarantined coronavirus patients: Director

The director of Cairo’s Heliopolis Hospital, Sayed Mahrous, decided on Tuesday to stop receiving quarantined coronavirus patients and to sterilize the hospital in advance of reopening to treat other kinds of ailments.

The hospital discharged its last patient infected with the coronavirus, following his recovery, Mahrous added.

The hospital will receive begin receiving patients with all kinds of ailments staring July 15, he pointed out.

Coronavirus recovery rates in Egypt increased to 30 percent, according to a statement by the Ministry of Health.

The ministry also revealed that the total number of cases in Egypt so far is 83,001 with 24,975 recovered and 3,935 dead.

The World Health Organization said in May that patients should be considered recovered if they are symptom-free for ten days.
