Meteorologists predict moderately hot and humid weather on Wednesday in Greater Cairo and Lower Egypt, with moderate weather on the northern coasts and very hot weather in Upper Egypt.
Temperatures will be milder at night in most parts of the country, with moderate temperatures in Upper Egypt.
Morning mist is expected for the northern coasts, Cairo and Lower Egypt.
Winds are expected to be active on the northern coast, possibly disrupting maritime navigation in the west. Winds are also expected to be strong in the southern parts of the country and in South Sinai, stirring up sand in some areas.
Temperatures predicted for the following cities are: 30C in Alexandria, 34C in Cairo, 41C in Qena, 42C in Luxor, and 43C in Aswan.
The Egyptian Meteorological Authority said that the country is still being affected by the Indian summer monsoon, which is making the country’s weather hotter and more humid.
Expected minimum and maximum humidity levels are: Cairo and Lower Egypt 30-75 percent, the northern coasts 65-88 percent, northern Upper Egypt 25-65 percent, and southern Upper Egypt 18-35 percent.
Waves in the Mediterranean Sea will be moderate to turbulent, ranging between two and 2.5 meters in height, while waves in the Red Sea will be rough, ranging between two and three meters in height, with northwesterly surface winds on both seas.
