The President of Qena’s South Valley University Youssef Ahmed Gharbawy announced he has approved the establishment of the Huawei Academy at the university’s Career Development Center.
The academy aims to develop youth skills and involve them in international competitions, transfer technological knowledge, train students and graduates through international experts from Huawei and grant them certificates approved by Huawei, Gharbawy said.
The Director of the University’s Career Development Center Mohamed Omran said that establishing the Huawei Academy increases the competitive opportunities within the South Valley University, especially following the establishment of a branch of the Information Technology Institute on the campus.
Omran added that it will also provide more opportunities for students and graduates alike to choose their career path, as the academy has opportunities for summer training and can link graduates with information and communication technology companies to prepare them for the job market.
The academy aims to spread the culture of freelancing, according to Oman, which the state aspires for in order to create good job opportunities and reduce unemployment among youth.
