On Friday, Hurghada International Airport received its first of many Air Cairo flights coming from Frankfurt, with 144 tourists on board.
The new flight schedule comes as part of a partnership between Air Cairo and SunExpress, one of the most important tour operators in Egypt.
Air Cairo Chairman Hussein Sherif said that the company is seeking to expand by entering new markets and adding a number of foreign destinations to its flight schedule in order to boost tourism in Egypt and grow the business into a competitive global airline.
A public relations team at the airport received the German passengers, presenting them with flowers and souvenirs and facilitating speedy arrival procedure for all.
Air Cairo will operate 30 regular flights per week during the current summer season between Hurghada International Airport and 14 airports in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, which will contribute to increasing tourism to the Red Sea resort town.
Air Cairo also expanded its sales through its website www.aircairo.com, which was launched in its new form at the end of April, in addition to the websites of travel and tourism agents around the world.
